How The Bar Works
The bar is attached to the kite, by pulling the bar on the left or right, will make the kite turn. Actually it's very logic, there are two lines to steer, the steerlines. Those lines are attached on the side of the kite as you can see in the image on the right (left and right line).
It is also possible to pull the bar away or towards you. This is very important, it requires a lot of practice before you can really feel this. The bar's position (away/towards) makes a lot of difference in the kite's behaviour, when the bar is pulled towards you there are actually two big difference's:
When the bar is pulled away from you the behaviour is the opposite, it turns slower and it contains less power. |
You pull the bar on one side, the line attached to the kite will pull compared to the other lines, so the kite will turn in that direction. |
